Format

Each topic is divided across 2 weeks.

Week A

The first week of each topic will focus on the primary teaching, with a 2 hour live class via zoom where Eddie and Jack will go over each sleight and effect in detail with you. This will be available for you to watch back via the course page a few hours after the class.

Alongside this live class a set of “focus videos” will be released that provide close ups and multiple angles of each move and a breakdown of each effect with performance. There will also be a set of practice drills provided to help your practice.

There will also be materials that focus on other areas of your magic development, such as performance style and character. These will be made available and are for you to do as part of self study.

Week B

The second week of each topic includes a 30 minute live discussion on zoom with Eddie and Jack where you are able to ask questions on things you’re struggling with and get direct feedback on how you’re progressing.

If necessary, a set of additional practice drills will be released here too.

Discussion Forum

When you sign up to the course you will also have access to the course discussion board where you can post videos and ask for help and feedback from Eddie, Jack and your classmates on your progress as well ask any other questions you might have. Both Eddie and Jack advise that you ask questions early so as to avoid picking up bad habits. Where necessary Eddie or Jack might record extra content to help address your questions and make those available on the class page.

Practice

To get the most out of this course you should practice every day for at least 30 minutes. Working through the practice drills provided several times. If you are able to dedicate more than that, you should. The more time you spend with a deck of cards in your hands over the 12 weeks, the further you’ll progress with your learning.
